Import and Export

The Import and Export section facilitates the lawful movement of regulated products across Zambia’s borders while ensuring compliance with national legislation and international obligations. The section is responsible for issuing permits and authorizations for the importation and exportation of medicines, medical devices, cosmetics, and other regulated products.

To safeguard public health, ZAMRA verifies that imported and exported products meet established regulatory requirements and quality standards. The section collaborates with customs authorities, border agencies, and other stakeholders to prevent the entry or exit of counterfeit, substandard, falsified, or unauthorized products.

The Import and Export section also provides guidance to importers, exporters, manufacturers, and distributors on applicable procedures and documentation requirements.
