Cosmetics

The Cosmetics section oversees the regulation of cosmetic products intended for personal care, beautification, and hygiene. The Authority ensures that cosmetics marketed in Zambia are safe for consumers and comply with applicable regulatory requirements.

The section evaluates cosmetic product applications, reviews ingredients and product claims, and monitors products after they enter the market. Particular attention is given to prohibited substances, product labeling, and consumer safety concerns.

Through inspections, market surveillance, and stakeholder engagement, ZAMRA works to prevent the distribution of unsafe or non-compliant cosmetic products while promoting public confidence in products available on the market.
