GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICE (GMP) KEY IN PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTION.

“Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in pharmaceutical manufacturing is important as it minimizes the risks involved in any pharmaceutical process such as radiolabelling, that can put consumers at risk if the proper quality control is not put in place”, ZAMRA Director – General Mr. Siyanga Makomani has said.

Mr Makomani said, GMP can provide protection in the marketplace because it has been ensured that the product comes out with guaranteed quality.

” It increases consumer confidence after you work hard to prove recognized product quality,” he     said.

Mr. Makomani said this when he officiated at a GMP Training Workshop held in Lusaka Intercontinental Hotel on 22nd August 2023.

The four (4) day Workshop is held under the theme: “Support towards Industrialisation and the Productive Sectors ” (SIPS) a programme supported by the European Union and the German government to the SADC secretariat by contributing to the performance and growth of selected industrial value chains within the region.
